I have crafted this card for the glittergeeks monster challenge, I must admit i didn't enjoy this one he he, my closest friends will tell you I cant watch doctor who or anything that has the slightest possibility of making me jump! so I choose bright colours to help cheer the card up :-) ...given that its Halloween soon someone will be receiving this card if they dare to knock on my door and I dare answer it... he he!!!!

the card is an 8x8 easel card created using shaped die cuts,

I have punched holly  to enable a stopper so that the card will stand well, the holly has been embossed and sanded  to give a distressed look

I have coloured the image using flex markers.... distressed glitter and gems to accent....have fun crafting and ill be back soon bloggers ....X

In The Garden .....just because

Hi everyone....well I have had a fabulous week off from work, I have spent my time keeping it simple and enjoying doing the things I most love to do, crafting, shopping, reading ....oooh its been a perfick week lol!, my garden is looking clean and simple also  now that I have put most of the finished blooms into the compost bin! ... swept all the paths, and put away the garden furniture until the Spring! (oooh that sounds a long way off) all that is thriving at the moment within my garden is my little herb corner! ....so with this week glitter geeks challenege theme called In the garden i have continued to keep it simple with this card, I have stamped straight onto smooth white card stock and coloured the image with pro markers, the grass along the bottom edge is a doo hicky die (oooh i love this die) finished off with some fabulous gingham ribbon i recently bought on one of my shopping adventures ....more about that in another post ;) ... have fun crafting and ill be back soon bloggers....X

White out

This morning I have been putting things together for my lovely family and friends Christmas 2011 cards, I had already decided the colour scheme which is white on white, hmm sounds simple eh ! ...well I have faffed about most of the day already going though my stash of white card stock, trying different embossing folders, digging out my old Christmas stamps and then decided to put it on hold for now and create a card anyway !....so pleased I did as I have now have my design, the aperture has been created using Marianne circles die, I have chalked the embossed snowflakes in a very subtle blue glimmer chalk, (must get a decent camera lol) the image I will be using is still undecided for my family but I have dug out my penny black stamps for my friends, ..... okay with that said i must get back to making cards he he.....have fun crafting and ill be back soon bloggers.....X

Pretty Sweet!

Evening everyone,

A late post from me tonight, but i wanted to show off this new character cd from polkadoodles ooooh its de lush ous!!! ... with the summer days drawing quickly to a close i decided to use the images from the CD to  create a card with this weeks blog challenge in mind " setting the scene" all the design papers are also from the CD ....not easy masking from a digi image but i managed do it all by myself!  ....the sentiment is a L.O.T.V i felt this fitted the  card quite nicely, edges have been distressed with weathered wood and tea dye, flowers are from my craft stash....the character's name is piper and i have used pro marker pens to colour her .....i think these cute little characters are going to settle in their new home  quite well.... don't you?....have fun crafting and ill be back blogging soon X

Spare Moment's are the Gold Dust of Time ....

Hello All,
So what do I like to do when I get a time to relax? ...Craft I can hear you all say he he! ...Wrong!!!!  I actually love to take myself off to a quiet area away from my busy life, ( usually my bedroom ) and lay on the bed and read, so  for this weeks crafty attack moment I put together this project, I have used Sarah Kay decoupage and layered this onto Kraft card, Xcut border punch for the looped edge, lots of lace, pearls and vintage ribbon for the bow, not forgetting Tim Holz distress inks to edge ... note I haven't used glitter! that must be a first lol!... I'll be back soon Bloggers....have fun crafting ...X

Flipping template ...lol...:-)

Here we have an 8x8 inverted stepper card, same shape as previous post, but flipped, how different do they look eh! Image is from the me to you digital designer cd. i have made this card for a friend whom is about to become a first time grandma...have fun crafting and ill be back soon bloggers....X

A crafting Sunday ...:-)

Hi all,
I have been playing around with paper whilst I was away last week and made several sized inverted stepper templates, couldn't wait to put my efforts into a card design, so here we have Tatty Button Christmas card, the shape is an A5 inverted stepper that I have flipped onto its side, the papers are from my minds eye Christmas papers I bought last year, distressed edges using faded jeans, punched snowflakes and distressed using walnut stain and faded jeans and sparkled up with glamour dust, the image is from the tatty button Christmas range and I have stamped her onto dielicious die cut and coloured with pro markers, I have also used the smallest die for the greeting, the poinsettia is a die from the Marianne range (i think)  ....want to know a secret????..... I borrowed some fishing line out of his fishing box to hang the greeting and snowflakes at the side of the card, which gives it a floating illusion ...shssssh don't tell my hubby lol ;-) .... I will be posting  the same design in 8x8 in a few moments just to show you how different the card looks just by simply flipping the template around....X
