In The Garden .....just because

Hi everyone....well I have had a fabulous week off from work, I have spent my time keeping it simple and enjoying doing the things I most love to do, crafting, shopping, reading ....oooh its been a perfick week lol!, my garden is looking clean and simple also  now that I have put most of the finished blooms into the compost bin! ... swept all the paths, and put away the garden furniture until the Spring! (oooh that sounds a long way off) all that is thriving at the moment within my garden is my little herb corner! ....so with this week glitter geeks challenege theme called In the garden i have continued to keep it simple with this card, I have stamped straight onto smooth white card stock and coloured the image with pro markers, the grass along the bottom edge is a doo hicky die (oooh i love this die) finished off with some fabulous gingham ribbon i recently bought on one of my shopping adventures ....more about that in another post ;) ... have fun crafting and ill be back soon bloggers....X

White out

This morning I have been putting things together for my lovely family and friends Christmas 2011 cards, I had already decided the colour scheme which is white on white, hmm sounds simple eh ! ...well I have faffed about most of the day already going though my stash of white card stock, trying different embossing folders, digging out my old Christmas stamps and then decided to put it on hold for now and create a card anyway !....so pleased I did as I have now have my design, the aperture has been created using Marianne circles die, I have chalked the embossed snowflakes in a very subtle blue glimmer chalk, (must get a decent camera lol) the image I will be using is still undecided for my family but I have dug out my penny black stamps for my friends, ..... okay with that said i must get back to making cards he he.....have fun crafting and ill be back soon bloggers.....X

Spare Moment's are the Gold Dust of Time ....

Hello All,
So what do I like to do when I get a time to relax? ...Craft I can hear you all say he he! ...Wrong!!!!  I actually love to take myself off to a quiet area away from my busy life, ( usually my bedroom ) and lay on the bed and read, so  for this weeks crafty attack moment I put together this project, I have used Sarah Kay decoupage and layered this onto Kraft card, Xcut border punch for the looped edge, lots of lace, pearls and vintage ribbon for the bow, not forgetting Tim Holz distress inks to edge ... note I haven't used glitter! that must be a first lol!... I'll be back soon Bloggers....have fun crafting ...X

Oriental Dreams

Hello everyone,
Well I was certainly put to the test for this weeks blog challenge over at the Glittergeeks!  I decided to step outside of my comfort zone for this one!  I too generally stick with what I love doing which is stamping and colouring images from my  favourite stamp collections, and always using pro markers  The theme was “all around the world” and so  avoiding my stamp collections and locking away my pro markers  and paper stash I looked though my craft stuff to see what I could find! ....so here it is! This project is a 6x6 inch Oriental Picture Frame, I have used Kraft card for the frame, used a rectangle nestie die to create the window and embossed it to give a subtle effect, edged with faded jean s and spiced marmalade distress inks, the image is from the Sharon Duncan’s oriental dreams CD which I thinks certainly captures the oriental culture, to make the oriental fan I have used the paper from the CD , scored at 1 cm lines,  using Martha Stewart border punch i have created the decorative effect , pinched at the bottom and i have glued a brad here to finish it off. At the back of the frame I decided to use the piece of kraft card from the die cut centre, however you can also use a mirror hanger (local diy stores) to adhere with a Brad if you wanted to display it on a wall!  I translated “oriental dreams” using Google translate for the sentiment on this frame.....have I visited china?....no it is a dream that maybe one day I shall visit....I hope you like this project and get a little inspiration from it too.....have fun crafting and I’ll be back soon Bloggers....X
