Summer Citrus colours

The Polkadoodles team challenge set this week is " use citrus colours"  with the following fruits in mind i used corresponding hues in distress inks: Limes, Lemons, oranges and raspberries !

I have used elements from Dragonfly fantasy silhouette stamp and the Graceful flower girl to create a slim tall card and matching tag.

Believe in Rainbow Unicorn Sparkle

I kept this image clean and simple, which is very hard for me to achieve 😁! ....  This unicorn image is just one  taken from the  Polkadoodles unicorn-big-kahuna digital-download-bundle and coloured using alcohol markers !

My inspiration came from someone someone going through a very tough time, hope you like it .... see the ingredients below and happy crafting folks!

Image used is called Belive in rainbows, colour with medium of choice or use pre coloured image.

Sentiment is a computer generated one!

 I used a white insigno pen to create the polka effect on the umbrella.

you're my hero - thinking of you condolence card

This weeks challenge was use any image and can be anything, Sadly Gemma became a heaven's angel last month, i wanted to create that card we all find difficulty making during a bereavement,  i also wanted it to be bright and cherry to the eye.Gemma was and always will be our hero and a warrior working tirelessly in a dementia care home supporting the most vulnerable during the current covid climate.

I  stamped the tree and branches image from Polkdoodles dragonfly-fantasy-3-clear-polymer-silhouette-stamps, in black ink,  the heart image i coloured using coloured pencils in rainbow colours from the Polkadoodles me-you-stamp-set-timeless-rose-collection Cutting away the centre to add a personal photograph .
The background was coloured using  distress inks.

Gardner Bob: use 3 of something!

Happy Friday and time for a new Blog challenge over at Polkadoodles HERE My project was inspired by a Birthday for a friend whom every year spends lots of time taking care of his allotment! i thought this image was perfect !

Here i have used Gardener Bob Digital image and coloured him with alcohol markers, the team challenge was to " use 3 items" so I've used 3 brads and also 3 embellishments.

Christmas in August! Bow card

Happy Friday all! This weeks team challenge is Christmas in August 3. Use Red, Green & Blue - add 3 buttons! can you spot the 3 buttons lol! one is really hard to see in this picture as I've used it for the centre of the poinsettia flower but you can find the other two if you look closely!

I created this card using a bow card template I have in my craft stash: using the Bauble Fun Gnome clear stamp I coloured the image with pro markers, the design papers are from The Picknix collection CD embellishments are from my stash.

Its a Summer party!

Happy Friday all ! for this weeks design team Polkadoodles project I have created a shell basket to carry small treats for the little ones as we have a " Beach in Nottingham" themed city centre and they can carry there own little treats to the city centre beach themed party!

Using the team challenge " bright colours" I  took the shell image into serif and copied and welded together to make a SHELL basket and cut around the shell image on the backing paper found HERE The images  WINNIE SPECIAL MOMENTS and PARASOL ETC were added to the shell basket to decorate! ... the little ones loved this and hopefully it gives you some inspiration to make this project for yours to enjoy! ....bye for now ...

Ice cream for the sweetest of Birthdays!

For my project I decided to go CAS and create this " Sweet  Birthday  DL card" using an  Ice Cream image and taking into a graphics program to add additional layers, I decoupaged the layers and added a sentiment created in Word. The fame is a sentiment frame from the same CD .  There is lots to choose from in this collection at Polkadoodles called SUNDAE OF SEASONS CD

4 generation family clipboard: Polkadoodles blog challenge

Happy Friday everyone! ..for this weeks team challenge we was set a challenge to

1. Theme: Family/Older Generation

2- Using this : colour Palette an image which would appeal to someone in your FAMILY who is retired

3. Make: Something which has a photo keepsake included, IE a family photo, baby photo etc. i.e. a card for a grandma with a photo of you and your children included in there.

Initially I was going to create a scrap page but then I wanted the picture to be on display to enjoy so I cut a piece of MDF board to create a clipboard I covered with Gesso and added texture paste to flower doodles stencil and stamped images using stamps from Butterfly and flowers collection. I manipulated some old photos of my daughter, mum and grandma so it looked like all 4 generations was all together in the picture! This was so out of my usual comfort zone but I'm really happy with the way it turned out and a real family keepsake! Here is my take on this challenge, hope you like it!

Fathers day treat

Happy Friday to all! for my project I've have created an all in one box that exactly fits a Terry's orange, I thought this was a fabulous idea for a gift for the man in our lives: I have used  design papers and elements from not for girls definitely for men the tag was cut from creative paper pack using the the basic tag dies , if you would like to create this gift box click on the link HERE

USA Mothers Day: flowers and Foliage

Hi Everyone: My project this week is using Flowers and foliage digi kit from Polkadoodles, I printed a few A4 sheets and cut them on my Scan n cut machine: I aslo cut the pots and tray on my cutting machine from a SVG cut file and you can find it HERE. The embellishments and sentiment was taken from The Picknix collection, and the backing papers was taken from The Pretty Tuff CD the flowers have been edged using Distress inks. Wishing all Mom's in America a very happy Mothers day !
